Which Sweat Challenge Goal Is Right For You?
January 9, 2023
The Sweat Challenge kicks off today and things are about to get sweaty. We couldn’t be more excited to see what amazing things you accomplish over the next six weeks, but first things first… have you chosen your goal?
After you register for the Sweat Challenge and choose your program, you’ll be prompted in the app to select one of four personal goals:
Make fitness a habit
Feel good - inside AND out
Mix up my routine
Take my training to the next level
These goals are designed to help you think about your why - what’s motivating you to complete each Sweat session, what you want to improve or achieve over the course of the Sweat Challenge and how you want to feel. Having a clear direction before you start will help keep you going on the days when you feel less motivated and celebrate every small win along the way.
So how do you know which goal is right for you? Here’s a helpful guide if you’re wondering what to choose.
Make fitness a habit
One of the biggest motivators to sign up for the Sweat Challenge is simple - to make a commitment to your health and fitness and stick to it.
Wanting to make fitness a habit isn’t only for those who are new to working out or returning after a break, are struggling with motivation, have had their usual routine disrupted by one of life’s curveballs, or have been dabbling in the odd workout and are ready to make movement part of their routine.
Yes, the Sweat Challenge is six weeks long, but fitness is for life, and these next six weeks are the perfect time to lay a strong foundation that will set you up for success throughout 2023.
Feel good - inside AND out
As much as we talk about the power of goal-setting, working out to smash goals and tracking progress isn’t for everyone. We all have different motivations when it comes to why we Sweat and for many people, exercising is for one reason and one reason alone - to feel good.
It’s also completely normal to make a pivot in your journey. Life changes, you change, and so can your motivation for movement! After a period of working hard and ticking off goal after goal, now might be the moment you decide you want to shift your relationship with fitness to focus on the feel-good factor.
This could be about listening to your body more, finding a new program you love, prioritising rest and recovery, falling in love with new recipes or moving your body from a place of gratitude and celebration. Feeling good in body and mind starts here.
Mix up my routine
Every now and then, your fitness routine needs a shakeup. Perhaps you’ve been following the same program for a while and want to try a different program or training style, or you’re keen to spice up your routine by working out a different time of day, in a change of location, blasting a banging new playlist, or make your Sweat sessions extra fun by finding a workout buddy.
If things are feeling a little flat when it comes to your health and fitness habits and you’re looking to inject some new life into your routine, this goal is for you.
Take my training to the next level
So you’ve been working out and feeling your fitness build, but now you’re feeling the itch to take things up a notch? It’s time to take your training to the next level.
No matter what your fitness level is, how long you’ve been working out or what program you’re following, there are ways you can step up your fitness routine. Challenging yourself could look like adding another workout each week, adding more weights to your Sweat sessions, trying a more difficult program, or pushing yourself that little bit harder.
This goal is for you if you’re ready to see what you’re truly capable of, achieve new heights and see more progress on your journey.
Registered? Check. Program selected? Check. Goal chosen? Check. Get ready to turn up the heat. You’ve got this.
