Ignite Strength with Britany: It’s Your Time To Thrive
February 20, 2023
Britany Williams’ strength training program will help to Ignite a stronger, more confident you.
Ignite Strength with Brit is her 24-week program that’s perfect for training at home or in the gym. Each week, you’ll alternate between full, lower and upper-body workouts and you can get started no matter what your fitness level is.
“I’m excited to make strength training and mobility sessions more accessible to women,” Brit said when she launched this program. “I love how easy it is to know you are improving during strength training.”
Brit knows first-hand how motivating it can be to track your progress when you find you’re able to start lifting heavier weights, and she wants more women to discover that feeling.
“Being able to quantify results based on your performance - not just on how your body looks - is such an amazing tool for women to have to build healthy relationships with themselves and their fitness routines.”
Ready to build your strength with minimal equipment? It’s your time to thrive.
Who is Brit's Ignite Strength program for?
Designed for beginners and intermediates alike, this full-body strength program is perfect for anyone who loves Brit’s feel-good training style and is ready to take the next step in their fitness journey or experience the benefits of strength training for the first time.
Brit created Ignite Strength to take the guesswork out of getting stronger, as she knows how intimidating and time-consuming it can be to start training with machines at the gym.
“Ignite Strength is for women who want to keep their workouts simple but effective. I wanted to build a workout program that emulated my own style of strength training,” Brit says, telling us how the program was created with busy women in mind. “I want women to get the results and feelings they deserve without having to waste a lot of time!”
What's included in Ignite Strength?
Each week, you’ll alternate between full, lower and upper-body workouts with an additional mobility and core session. The program also includes optional weekly LISS and HIIT sessions designed to help improve your overall fitness. Oh, and did we mention Ignite Strength workouts will take you less than 30 minutes?
Structured around circuits and supersets, some of the workouts are time-based while others are rep-based. The program is split into four 6-week training blocks and you’ll have a mixture of unilateral exercises designed to strengthen your body, encourage progress and ensure you get the most out of your training with Brit.
In Block 1 (weeks 1-6) you’ll challenge your muscles and build strength with lower, upper, full body and core workouts following a circuit, superset and finisher format.
Block 2 (weeks 7-12) will push you further with more compound movements, advanced exercises and superset pyramids focused on fatiguing the same muscle groups.
Block 3 (weeks 13-18) introduces new exercises and your weekly workouts increase from four to five. In this 6-week block there is an optional Cardio & Core workout and two full-body sessions: Full Body Strength and Full Body Endurance.
Then, Block 4 (weeks 19-24) continues with the same workout structure as Block 3, but with a higher intensity through increased reps, weight or time. There are also new advanced variations of exercises to keep you feeling challenged.
What equipment will you need?
You can try Ignite at home or in the gym. All you need to get started are a set of dumbbells, a resistance band and a bench, step or chair! Making sure this was a program women could do anywhere, anytime, was a key part of designing the workouts.
“You can try Ignite Strength in your house in your pyjamas with your hair in deep conditioner if you want to,” Brit laughs.
“You can do your Ignite Strength workouts in a hotel room, in the gym, or outside. I’m excited to give women an effective strength training program that meets them exactly where they are.”
What will you achieve?
Brit created this program to take the guesswork out of getting stronger, as she knows how intimidating it can be to start training with machines at the gym.
The benefits of strength training on body AND mind are well documented, and Brit wants to remind women that building strength isn’t something to be nervous about. Whether you’re strength training to benefit your muscles or your mind, Brit’s got you covered.
“Getting stronger isn’t about spending hours at the gym or ‘bulking’. It’s about taking the time to build a stronger foundation for a healthier and happier life - both during your workouts and outside of it.”
