Move With Confidence In Kayla’s New Pregnancy Program
September 13, 2022
We know that pregnant women are strong and powerful. But up until now, there hasn’t been a way for them to Sweat alongside co-founder and Head Trainer Kayla Itsines.
Now, Kayla’s long-awaited pregnancy program is FINALLY here, with workouts designed by Kayla to help women who have been cleared to exercise by their healthcare provider feel strong and stay active throughout their pregnancy.
Combining her prenatal qualifications, years of experience training women around the world and first-hand knowledge of pregnancy (Kayla is mum to three-year-old Arna and currently expecting her second bub), Pregnancy with Kayla is a 40–week program created to help women move with confidence and continue their health and fitness journey.
“I found it so difficult to navigate my own pregnancy workouts before I had Arna,” Kayla says. “I wanted to create a program that would help women be the strongest version of themselves during pregnancy.”
As Kayla says - strength is about so much more than the weights you can lift.
“Strength can mean so many different things to everyone which I think is beautiful,” Kayla says. “For me right now, strength is carrying this precious baby!”
Find what works for you
Kayla is currently following her program during her second pregnancy, and it’s the program she wishes she had during her first pregnancy with Arna, but she wants women to know this program is there for you only if you feel up to it.
“You might be really fit, but pregnancy is still going to be a new thing and you might want help,” she says, noting how important coaching and guidance is when you’re pregnant, especially for the first time. “I wanted to create a program that allowed women to feel comfortable exercising while pregnant.”
“Every pregnancy is different and everyone’s experience with pregnancy is different so you definitely need to listen to your body and work with your doctor,” she says, highlighting the differences she’s felt in herself and what she’s capable of doing across both pregnancies.
What to expect in Pregnancy with Kayla
Pregnancy with Kayla Itsines can help you feel strong and stay active throughout your pregnancy from the comfort of your own home (or a gym!) with minimal equipment.
This 40-week program is uniquely tailored to each trimester (where you start the program will depend on how far along you are) and is designed to help you move with confidence as you maintain your strength, fitness, posture and general health from bump through to birth.
Each workout is 20-30 minutes and can be done using your bodyweight or with simple at-home equipment such as dumbbells, a chair and resistance bands.
If you’re currently pregnant and interested in trying Kayla’s new program, it’s essential you receive clearance from your healthcare provider before you begin. Learn more about exercising during pregnancy here.
