Monday Night Meetups: Here's What You Need To Know - Hero image

As the SWEAT community around the world faces tough times, it’s more important than ever to have healthy habits and exercise.

Even if you're staying at home at the moment, you can still feel the benefits from a workout. Exercise not only increases your general fitness, it can also improve cognition, boost your mood and enhance your overall sense of wellbeing.

To help you work out from home and stay strong, SWEAT personal trainer Kayla Itsines is hosting virtual workouts you can do in the home environment: Monday Night Meetups.

What are Monday Night Meetups?

Monday Night Meetups are a series of four free weekly workouts for the millions of women across the globe who are part of our SWEAT community.

Women from anywhere in the world can participate by joining the Monday Night Meetups on SWEAT’s Facebook page every Monday, starting May 11, 2020.

These workouts are hosted by SWEAT trainer Kayla Itsines.

Your personal health and wellbeing is so important right now, and everyone in the global SWEAT Community can stay stronger together by participating in these exclusive weekly workouts.

What do I need to do to join Monday Night Meetups?

The Monday Night Meetups aim to support everyone in our community, and help you make time for fitness

The four Monday Night Meetups are being held on Monday May 11, May 18, May 25 and July 27 — follow the SWEAT Facebook page, and check the page on each Monday over the four weeks to join in.

Each Monday Night Meetup is a high-intensity workout, lasting for around 30 minutes. You can do these workouts in the comfort of your own home.

Every workout has a different focus, requiring little or no equipment. All you need is a space for a mat, and if you don’t have a mat, you can always use a towel. A water bottle is a great idea, so you can maintain good hydration while you exercise.

Make sure you like the SWEAT Facebook page, and check it each week for details on each workout and what you’ll need to participate.

Top tips from SWEAT trainer Kayla Itsines

Monday Night Meetups are suitable for all levels of fitness — from beginner to advanced!

Each workout has been created by SWEAT trainer Kayla Itsines, who has led bootcamp training sessions around the world.

For everyone joining the Monday Night Meetups, Kayla has three pieces of advice:

  • Go at your own pace

  • Keep moving. If you need a break, do a different exercise, walk on the spot or do another move like slow squats.

  • Don’t stop until the music stops. There might be occasional pauses to explain an exercise or for instruction, but keep moving until the music stops — then you get a break!

Sweat is about so much more than your workouts

Feel your best - inside AND out

SWEAT wants to empower you through fitness

If you’re joining the SWEAT Monday Night Meetup, you can take photos and videos of yourself working out. Send them in via the SWEAT Facebook page, or tag SWEAT in your posts, and we will share them with the global SWEAT community on social media.

If you want to connect with like-minded women around the world, you can also join the SWEAT Forum — it’s a place to find support, swap ideas and join discussions about health and fitness.

SWEAT trainer Kayla Itsines will be answering a selection of questions in Week 3 and 4 — check in regularly with the SWEAT Facebook page for more information on how to submit questions.

See you at the next Monday Night Meetup!
