High Intensity Barre with Britany

This 14-week program will take your barre journey to the next level. It’s perfect for anyone with an intermediate level of fitness (if you’re a beginner, we recommend starting with Britany’s original barre program, Barre with Britany) and fuses strength training, elements of ballet and high-intensity movements to build your core strength and stability through a variety of training techniques.

I’m Britany, a NASM certified personal trainer, HIIT and barre instructor from Portland, Oregon. I became Sweat’s first Barre instructor in 2019 and have a range of fun and challenging barre, strength and pregnancy programs you can choose from.

Program Overview

Feel the burn in High Intensity Barre with Britany! This program includes workouts you can do at home with minimal equipment in 35 minutes or less. While it is designed with intermediate fitness levels in mind, the two foundation weeks will familiarise you with the training style as you build your fitness and strength. New to the barre? We recommend starting with Barre with Britany before progressing to this high-intensity program. 

Each week you can choose from three to four workouts that target different areas of the body to build your core strength and stability. Brit has designed each workout with a combination of high reps, challenging holds, traditional strength exercises and high-intensity movements to have you feeling the barre burn! This program includes the following weekly resistance sessions:

  • Upper Body

  • Lower Body

  • Full Body Resistance (optional during the foundation weeks)

  • Full Body Cardio (optional)

  • 2 Express Workouts (optional)

  • 2-3 low-intensity steady state cardio sessions

You’ll build your strength, fitness and coordination alongside Brit - finishing every workout with a sense of accomplishment!


What you’ll need

To get started with High Intensity Barre with Britany, all you need are a few key pieces of equipment. If you’ve already completed Barre with Britany, she recommends challenging yourself with heavier dumbbells in this program - around 3-5kgs (6.6-11Ib). If you don’t have access to free weights, you can substitute them for household items of a similar weight such as bottles of water.
