In Strength & Pilates, trainer Katie Martin combines her two go-to training styles so you can reap the benefits of both in a powerful 12-week program. It’s the perfect program if you want to mix up your workouts or have been looking to include elements of Pilates in your strength training routine. Katie is so proud of this program - and has followed it herself! - because she loves how the contrasting styles of movement complement each other.

I’m Katie Martin, creator of Strength & Sculpt and Strength & Pilates. I’ve been a personal trainer since 2016, and am also a cookbook author and the founder of my own activewear line. Strength training, running and Pilates are my favourite ways to train to see results, feel strong, and build sustainable healthy habits.

Program Overview

Get ready to build strength across your large muscle groups, improve muscular control or imbalances, and have an effective, efficient workout in 40-50 minutes. There are three 40-50 minute weekly workouts, plus cardio sessions to build your cardio base and keep your body moving. Your weekly workouts include:

  • Lower Body

  • Upper Body

  • Full Body

  • Full Body Burner (Optional) 

Strength & Pilates is split into two 6-week training blocks. Once you hit week 7, there are changes to the upper and lower body sessions, where your supersets become trisets to increase the difficulty level.

This program has been designed to be completed at the gym but could be modified to suit a good at-home setup. If you’re working out at home with limited equipment, update your equipment profile and use the Automatic Exercise Substitutions toggle to substitute exercises based on the equipment you have available.
